Mug shot released for man who stole forklift

LATEST UPDATE: The suspect has been identified as Miguel Prudente. He was arrested for burglary, destroying of property and resisting of an officer.

UPDATE: It's estimated the suspect caused between $75,000-$100,000 in damage using the forklift and spray paint as some points. He was causing damage up to an hour before officers arrived.

Police say the man is in his 20s. He's not talking, so it's unknown if he was an employee or ex-employee.

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) -- Police say a man stole a forklift on Saturday

It was reported around 9:42 a.m. near Abels Lane and Alto Drive.

Investigators say the man was driving the forklift towards a few propane tanks. It is unclear if he was headed that direction on purpose.

When police arrived, the suspect began to drive the forklift towards them. He eventually surrendered and was arrested.
