Man scuffles with officers at Lucille's BBQ

Two people were arrested for prior theft after a police pursuit in Henderson Tuesday afternoon.

Around 5:30 p.m., Henderson police were called to the Verizon store on Eastern Avenue, near St. Rose Parkway, with reports that three males were acting suspicious. When officers arrived, the males took off by car and headed to The District at Green Valley Ranch, about 3 miles away.

The three then got out of the car and police pursued them on foot. One male was detained while the other two went into Lucille's Smokehouse BBQ. When police went into Lucille's, one male was detained while the other resisted arrest and scuffled with officers.

He was arrested for battery of an officer, resisting arrest and prior theft. Another male was arrested for prior theft while the third was not arrested.

The restaurant was not evacuated during the incident.
