LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A man is recovering after police say he was stabbed several times while on an RTC bus just before midnight on Feb. 11.

Police say two men got into a fight on the bus and one of the men stabbed the other multiple times before getting off near Sahara Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard.

Responding officers saw the man walking on Sahara. He refused to comply with the officer commands. Police say officers then used a low lethal bean bag to subdue him and take him into custody.

A pocket knife was found in a bush near the area the man was brought into custody. Police believe it is the weapon used in the stabbing.

Authorities say the stab victim was transported to a hospital and is expected to recover. No other passengers on the bus were injured.
