Man injured in Henderson kitchen fire

A man was burned during a Henderson kitchen fire Wednesday morning.

The Henderson Fire Department responded to the fire on Mineral Hill Lane, near Horizon Drive and Pacific Avenue, around 9:45 a.m.
 
The first arriving engine crew observed smoke coming from the rear of a one-story single-family home. Firefighters entered the structure and extinguished the fire, containing the fire to the kitchen area.
 
An adult male resident was injured in the fire and waiting outside the home when firefighters arrived. He was transported to University Medical Center with non-life threatening burns to his face and hands.
 
Four engines, a truck and two rescue units responded to the fire. There were no injuries to firefighters.
 
Two adults were displaced by the fire.
 
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Total loss is estimated at $80,000.
