Man arrested in March 5 North Las Vegas shooting

UPDATE: A man was taken into custody for a shooting earlier this month, North Las Vegas police reported Wednesday.

The suspect was identified as 33-year-old Rodolfo Flores-Cerda, who was taken into custody March 9 for the March 5 shooting. He faces charges of attempted murder with a deadly weapon and possession of a stolen firearm.

A 30-year-old man was injured in the shooting. He has since been released from UMC Trauma.

Police said the shooting occurred after the suspect approached the victim and began arguing with him.

North Las Vegas police are investigating a shooting that left a man injured Saturday afternoon.

Police said they received a call around 1:10 p.m. about a shooting in the 4900 block of Crystal Breeze Lane, near La Madre Way. That is near Decatur Boulevard and Lone Mountain Road.

Police arrived to find a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The man was transported to UMC Trauma with what appear to be non-life threatening injuries.

North Las Vegas police do not believe it was a random act and that the victim and suspect know each other.

No suspect is in custody at this time.
