59-year-old William Hoach from Las Vegas is dead after crashing his motorcycle along State Route 160 near mile marker 18.
A preliminary investigation revealed that he lost control of his Harley around 1:17 p.m. Saturday. As the roadway curved left, the motorcycle entered the north paved shoulder, and the front of the bike struck the guardrail fence. Hoach was ejected.
Officials say Hoach succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
This marks the 10th motorcycle fatality for 2017 under the Nevada Highway Patrol's Southern Command.
