The coroner ruled a man's death an accident after he sustained an infection following a crash in June.

Around 10:20 a.m. June 22, the crash was reported on Las Vegas Boulevard, approximately 713 feet south of Warm Springs Road. A Lincoln was struck by a Toyota as he was attempting to turn left onto Las Vegas Boulevard from a private drive.

The driver of the Lincoln was transported to UMC Trauma Center with non-life threatening injuries. However, on June 29, the 82-year-old man sustained an infection and was pronounced deceased at UMC Trauma.

On Sept. 6, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Fatal Detail received the coroner reports from the Clark County coroner and the manner of death was ruled an Accident.

This crash marks the 72nd traffic-related fatality in LVMPD's jurisdiction in 2016.
