Police reported Monday that a man has been arrested in an October 2013 double homicide.

32-year-old Christopher Green was identified as the suspect in the case and extradited from Mississippi where he was serving a sentence at the Yazoo Correctional Facility.

Las Vegas police responded to the 5100 block of East Sahara Avenue, near Nellis Boulevard, on Oct. 21, 2013 to reports of gunshots. When police arrived, they found two men dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

The Clark County coroner identified them as 28-year-old Michael Dunbar and 29-year-old Teray Shaney Lyles.

Homicide detectives determined that an argument ensued between two groups of individuals resulting in gunfire that struck both men.

One witness told police she heard people telling the suspect "don't shoot, just put the gun down" prior to shots being fired.

An arrest warrant was issued for Green on July 7, 2014.

Green was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on two counts of open murder and one count of misdemeanor battery.
