Police have arrested a man in connection to a Tuesday evening murder.
Around 10:06 p.m. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department patrol officers responded to the desert area near the 900 block of South Decatur Boulevard to investigate a report of a physical fight between two men.
Arriving officers located an adult male inside of a tent who was unresponsive. The man was transported to the UMC Trauma Center where he was later pronounced deceased.
The investigation indicated the victim and an adult female had been in a tent in the desert area when the suspect, later identified as 47-year-old Tracy Morrison, entered the tent and started to hit the victim with his fists.
Morrison left the scene before officers’ arrival.
As a result of the investigation, Tracy Morrison was located at about 3 a.m. in the 5200 block of Harmony Street.
He was taken into custody without incident and was transported to the Clark County Detention Center where he faces one count of first degree murder.
