A 30-year-old Las Vegas man died in a crash early Saturday morning on southbound U.S. 95.

The crash occurred around 2 a.m. near Kyle Canyon Road. Nevada Highway Patrol said a yellow Nissan rear-ended a Ford Fusion, causing both vehicles to leave the road and the Fusion to overturn.

The Fusion driver was wearing a seatbelt and transported to University Medical Center where he is critical condition.

The male driver of the Nissan, Jesus Lemus, was not wearing a seatbelt and later died at University Medical Center of his injuries. A female front seat passenger and a 12-year-old in the backseat were also not wearing seatbelts but had non-life threatening injuries.

Nevada Highway Patrol suspected Lemus of being under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
