The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is currently investigating a crash.
The call came in at 2:44 p.m. on Friday. Investigators say a LVMPD motorcycle officer was struck by a vehicle at Durango and Starboard Drives.
The officer is being transported to the UMC Trauma Center for treatment. His injuries are non-life threatening.
LVMPD Fatal Investigators are enroute to the scene to investigate.
The Fatal Section investigates accidents involving LVMPD department members which result in injuries, even when they aren’t of a fatal nature.
Motorists should avoid the area.
