Tourists gathered outside the Paris hotel-casino Friday night as the lights of the Eiffel Tower dimmed in solidarity with the attacks in Paris.

Several people stopped to kneel and pray; many French tourists and employees gathered outside and exchanged words of condolences with people passing by.

One tourist from France, John Charles, told Action News he immediately contacted his family members upon hearing the news and after he was able to confirm his loved ones were safe, he was consumed by a feeling of sorrow for his home country.

Meanwhile other tourists we spoke to reflected on ISIS having previously named Las Vegas as a possible target for terror attacks, and contemplated the possibility of a similar attack on the Las Vegas Strip.

Police have said at this time there is no credible threat to the city, but they are being vigilant and observant as the situation continues to unfold overseas.
