A veteran and his family just got a potentially life-saving gift.
Air Force veteran Louis Hill and his family were living without a fully-functional air conditioning unit for two years.
The nonprofit Rebuilding Together got the family's AC up and working. This is a group that does critical home repairs for low income seniors and veterans.
Hill is very happy now.
"Feels great... I can't wait to feel cool air!," said Hill.
Rebuilding Together has repaired or replaced the AC in 40 homes throughout the year. More than 100 homeowners have been serviced this year. The nonprofit has a waiting list right now.
