Police say a teenager died as a result of an ATV rollover around 8:41 p.m. on June 24.
The incident occurred in a desert area near South Hollywood Boulevard and Kodachrome Road. Officers say two teenagers were on the ATV when they hit a large hole in the ground and were sent airborne.
Both the female driver and male passenger were transported to Sunrise Hospital Trauma Center by Emergency rescue personnel. The male passenger was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The driver ATV is in stable condition with moderate injuries.
