There will be two sessions on "Supporting Children After Crisis and Loss - One Year Later" on Sept. 27. The first session will be at the Clark County Government Center, Commission Chambers from 10 a.m. to noon, while the evening session will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at New York Life, 6325 S. Rainbow Blvd., Suite 400.

The workshops look to provide valuable information and perspective for anyone with children, or working with children. Behavioral pediatrician Dr. David Schonfeld will provide suggestions on how to answer questions from your children, when to seek help, and ideas for helping children work through their fears, frustrations or concerns.

Representatives from the Vegas Strong Resiliency Center, Clark County School District and Adam’s Place (A Grief Center for Children and Families) will be present to answer questions and provide information about local resources for families. This event is coordinated by the Nevada Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Admission is complimentary.
