Las Vegas mass shooting victim remembered through his cover of 'You Should Be Here'

Brennan Stewart was a local resident from Las Vegas. His life was cut short after he was struck by gunfire during Sunday's mass shooting at the Route 91 Harvest Festival.

However, Brennan's legacy lives on through his moving rendition of "You Should Be Here" by Cole Swindell.

The video was posted on Brennan's memorialized Facebook page on October 4. It has since gained 180,000 views as of this writing.

According to Sounds Like Nashville, the video even caught the attention of Cole Swindell himself.

 

This is Brennan Stewart.. HUGE country music fan. He was 1 of the 59 that never made it home Sunday night. I’ve seen his cover of “You Should Be Here” and it’s absolutely heartbreaking. I will be thinking of him and the others who lost their lives every time I sing that song.. hope to connect with his family when I’m in Vegas in December. ??
