Vegas Strong concert lifts spirits and raises money

UPDATE: Country music stars continued to use the power of song to comfort the Las Vegas community in the wake of the mass shooting on October 1. Around 8,000 people received free tickets with 2,000 of those reserved for first responders and medical personnel.

PREVIOUS STORY: YurView and Cox Communications has announced that it will be livestreaming the "Vegas Strong: A Night of Healing" concert happening tonight in the Orleans Arena.

The free benefit concert, organized by Beasley Media Group and Boyd Gaming/The Orleans Arena, will honor victims, survivors and first responders from the October 1 tragedy in Las Vegas. The event will feature top country artists such as Big & Rich and other surprise superstars. National TV and radio host Sean Hannity will appear as a special guest.

The concert starts at 8 p.m.

Cox Communications customers in Southern Nevada can watch the broadcast on Cox Channel 96 or 1096. The event will stream live at: www.YurView.com/VegasStrong.
