Families concerned about shelter and food will have one less thing to worry about at Christmas.
13 Days of Giving provides children at the Las Vegas Rescue Mission with a small present to make their holiday a little brighter.
5-year-old Kayden doesn't realize she is homeless. Her mom Cristina Ruiz lost both her jobs within a fe weeks and the two were living out of the family car. Kayden just though they were waiting for a hotel.
That's when they came to the Las Vegas Rescue Mission.
"When I came in, everyone made me feel comfortable to where I knew I was going to be safe and my daughter would be safe and get the resources I need to continue my life," Ruiz said.
