UPDATE: Nevada Highway Patrol name 3 troopers involved in chase, shooting

UPDATE MAY 3: The Nevada Highway Patrol identified the troopers who were involved in a shooting on May 31.

NHP said the troopers involved were Cesar Enriquez-Donate, 30, been with the highway patrol since 2017, Kevin Provost, 37, been with the highway patrol since 2018, trooper Kyle Sweeney, 23, been with the highway patrol since 2019.

The troopers had previously not been involved in a shooting that involved authorities. They have also been placed on routine paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation, according to NHP.

Authorities did say that a trooper suffered minor injuries during the incident, along with the person involved who was taken into custody.

UPDATE MAY 2: Henderson police have identified the officers who were involved in a shooting on May 31.

Sergeant Charles Hedrick, Sergeant Chad Atkin, Sergeant Craig Mancuso, and Officer Zachary Winningham were the names released.

Officer Winningham has been employed with the City of Henderson Police Department since December of 2017 and is currently assigned to the Field Operations Bureau.

Sergeant Hedrick has been employed with the City of Henderson Police Department since March of 2008 and is currently assigned to the Field Operations Bureau.

Sergeant Atkin has been employed with the City of Henderson Police Department since August of 1995 and is currently assigned to the Field Operations Bureau.

Sergeant Mancuso has been employed with the City of Henderson Police Department since August of 2002 and is currently assigned to the Field Operations Bureau.

The officers have been placed on paid administrative leave, according to the Henderson Police Department, and this was the third officer-involved shooting so far this year.

UPDATE MAY 31: Roads in the Las Vegas valley remain closed after police say a carjacking led to a wild chase and shooting involving an officer beginning around 5:15 a.m.

Westbound 215 remains closed between Eastern Avenue and Warms Springs, as is Tropicana Avenue between Decatur Boulevard and Edmond.

Police say a woman is accused of stealing a car and sending authorities on a chase from Henderson to Las Vegas, pointing a gun at officers and shooting at highway patrol troopers along the way.

The incident spanned three jurisdictions - Henderson Police Department, Nevada Highway Patrol and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department - before ending near Tropicana and Decatur.

The woman is in custody, authorities say.

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) -- Authorities are on the scene of a shooting involving law enforcement, according to Las Vegas police.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department says it assisted with the incident this morning and that Nevada Highway Patrol and Henderson Police Department are also involved.

Tropicana Avenue west of Decatur Boulevard near Tropicana Plaza is closed as authorities investigate. 13 Action News Reporter Sean DeLancey is on the scene.
