LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is looking for two women connected to a violent robbery in the west part of town near Torrey Pines Drive and Tropicana Avenue.

The victims reportedly met the women at a casino and then went back to an apartment complex. That's when two armed men showed up and robbed the victims.

Then, all four suspects left at the same time, according to police.

Las Vegas police officer Aden Ocampo Gomez says this type of crime occurs all the time.

"We've had some incidents where people have taken somebody that they just met back to their apartment... and somebody else is following them," Gomez said.

Officer Gomez also said it's best to stay in a public place until you get to know the other person.

Whether you met someone at a casino or via a mobile app, police say to be cautious.

"Take that into consideration when you're allowing somebody to come into your house," Gomez said.

Anyone with further information on this case was asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
