UPDATE Feb. 15: Las Vegas police are hoping that visitors to the Clark County Detention Center will help solve crimes.

In a new program, images of wanted suspects and details of unsolved major cases will be displayed at the center.

The idea is that people will recognize the suspects or be able to provide information through Crime Stoppers.

All information given to authorities will be anonymous.

ORIGINAL STORY: Las Vegas police are launching a new Crime Stoppers initiative to fight crime and solve cold-case from inside the walls of the Clark County Detention Center.

Few details have been released, but police hope visitors will be able to help officers solve cases from inside the jail.

On Feb. 14, police will hold a press conference outside of the Clark County Detention Center to discuss the move.
