LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — President Donald Trump will be attending a Hope for Prisoners graduation ceremony on Thursday at the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and it will impact services.

LVMPD says that the Records and Fingerprint Bureau in Building C and the lobby of Building B will be closed during the morning of Feb. 20 and reopen at 1 p.m. or until President Trump leaves.

The parking lot at LVMPD headquarters will be blocked off and secured in preparation for the event. The parking lot will remain secure until after the president leaves.

The Hope for Prisoners graduation is one of many throughout the year. The nonprofit program is one of the most successful prisoner re-entry programs in the country, providing participants with life coping skills job training and mentoring from an alliance made up of LVMPD officers and other local criminal justice agencies.
