It's been more than two weeks since the mass shooting on the strip. Now, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is seeing an interesting trend.

For the past few months, many have seen Metro's recruitment advertisements around the valley, both billboards, and online posts.

Despite the dangerous and difficult nature of the job, Las Vegas Metro is getting about 80 applications per day for their job openings. That's about double what it used to be before the shooting.

In the first 12 days after the shooting, LVMPD got more than 850 applications.

Currently, there are only 350 open patrol and officer positions.
