Parents of Las Vegas-area gymnasts are reacting to the news about Larry Nassar, the former Team USA Gymnastics doctor accused of sexual abuse.

Brown's Gym, located near Hacienda Avenue and Decatur Boulevard, is training young gymnasts for the Olympics. Parents say the sport is a way of life, having a positive influence on their children's lives. They say coaches and doctors are like role models.
"And when unfortunately when you have so much trust with a doctor, the parents are blindsided," said parent Christine Dayton.
Young gymnasts can train up to 5 hours a day, which means a lot of time is spent with coaches and doctors.
