Las Vegas no longer on Top 20 list of best cities for New Year's Eve, according to WalletHub

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — WalletHub has released its list of best cities for New Year’s Eve this year and Las Vegas is not in the top 20.

Since 2014, WalletHub has ranked Las Vegas has been in the top 10 list for ringing in the new year. In 2019, it reached its highest position on the list -- No. 3.

This year, Las Vegas is ranked No. 59.

However, most New Year’s Eve celebrations, including the huge fireworks show on the Las Vegas Strip and party on at the Fremont Street Experience, have been canceled in the Las Vegas valley this year because of the coronavirus pandemic.

WalletHub compared the 100 biggest cities across 15 metrics, including fewest/most COVID-19 cases per 100K residents, number of DUI fatalities, available entertainment, cost of food delivery, and availability of alcohol.
