LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman released a statement today addressing the killing of George Floyd while in police custody and the protests that have spread throughout the Las Vegas area.

The statement released on Goodman's official twitter page says we "want all of you to know that we hear you; we respect your voices, will continue listening to you and be proactive."
The statement also lists several policies the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has in place that the mayor's office highlights as progress.
