UPDATE NOV. 4: The man who police say got into a crash after becoming distraught at a party and leaving with his child appeared in court on Monday.

The man has been identified as 33-year-old Abraham Roque, aka Abraham Roquecruz. The judge ordered him to be held without bail, partly because of a suspended sentence from another incident.

A status check was scheduled for Nov. 12. He is facing 3 counts of driving under the influence, resulting in substantial bodily harm; allowing child abuse or neglect; failing to obey a red traffic light; and domestic battery.
