LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Las Vegas city leaders joined residents and religious leaders in prayer this morning.
The theme of today's celebration was "Healing a broken nation."
Mayor Carolyn Goodman said everyone in Las Vegas should be asking themselves one question, "Am I doing something that's making life better for others, or am I part of the problem, or am I part of the harmony and understanding that's so needed?"

The mayor also saying we can do so much good when we work together and listen to each other.
Today's Unity Prayer Celebration was part of the Mayor's Faith Initiative.
