Las Vegas gas prices fell 1.8 cents per gallon this week

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Gasoline prices in Las Vegas have fallen 1.8 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.85/g on Feb. 24, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 649 stations in Las Vegas.

This compares with the national average that has increased 6.1 cents per gallon versus last week to $2.39/g, according to GasBuddy.

Average gasoline prices on Feb. 25 in Las Vegas have ranged widely over the last five years: $2.74/g in 2018, $2.51/g in 2017, $1.93/g in 2016, $2.61/g in 2015 and $3.34/g in 2014.

Including the change locally during the past week, prices Feb. 24 were 11.4 cents per gallon higher than a year ago and are 3.2 cents per gallon lower than a month ago.

The national average has increased 11.6 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 10.8 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.

Areas near Las Vegas and their current gas price climate:

Nevada- $2.72/g, down 2.2 cents per gallon from last week's $2.74/g.

San Bernardino- $3.24/g, up 2.5 cents per gallon from last week's $3.21/g.

Riverside- $3.25/g, up 2.2 cents per gallon from last week's $3.23/g.
