The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) and NV Energy jointly announced today that they have reached a 5-year energy services agreement and that the LVCVA will withdraw its 704B application from the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada.
“As stewards of room-tax funds, it is our responsibility to continuously explore thoughtful and efficient options. The LVCVA and NV Energy identified a sustainable solution that benefits our community, allowing us to allocate more funds towards our mission of promoting tourism,” said Steve Hill, LVCVA CEO and president. “NV Energy is a commendable community partner and our collaboration resulted in this excellent opportunity for the LVCVA to both reduce energy costs and increase the use of renewable energy.”
