LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — This is the daily roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

6:15 P.M.

A carjacking suspect was taken into custody by North Las Vegas police after a K9 bit him and officers were able to make the arrest. The nearby perimeter on Civic Center Drive was taken down.

3 P.M.

A person was robbed at gunpoint in Henderson with the person's car stolen, according to police. A vehicle pursuit ensued that crossed into North Las Vegas with police setting up a perimeter near North Las Vegas Boulevard and Nelson Avenue.

7:30 A.M.

A Frontier flight headed to Tampa from McCarran International Airport was forced to land after takeoff because of an engine problem. The plane was able to taxi back to the gate and no injuries were reported. The plane landed at 7:26 a.m. At this time, it is not known what caused the engine problem.
