Larry King called Las Vegas home for his storytelling show in 2009

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Popular TV and radio host Larry King died over the weekend after being hospitalized for COVID-19.

King conducted an estimated 50,000 interviews and one of those moments was back in 2009.

CNN asked 13 Action News to help get the host on-air after the sudden death of entertainer Danny Gans.

King weighed in on Gans' passing in an interview by Joy Behar from the Encore Theater.

This was one of the last times Larry King's show was recorded in Las Vegas.

King was 87 years old.
