Fireworks by Grucci is a sixth-generation, family-owned and operated company preparing to bring those in Las Vegas a show unlike any other previous shows.

13 Action News received a sneak peek on the rooftop at the Planet Hollywood hotel-casino Friday afternoon as crews were assembling the fireworks.

"What better place then to be on the Las Vegas Strip? Watching the people spread out and roar at the fireworks and just having a fantastic time," said Scott Cooper, director of business development with Fireworks by Grucci.

With a full year of planning, Michael Mack, vice president of marketing of Las Vegas Events, said Fireworks by Grucci will put on an 8-minute performance.

The program is expected to light up the Las Vegas Strip with more than 80,000 pyrotechnic effects with a few reaching as high as 300 to 400 feet.

The firing locations include MGM Grand, Aria, Planet Hollywood, Caesars Palace, Treasure Island, The Venetian, and Stratosphere.

Fireworks by Grucci holds the Guinness World Record for the largest display of fireworks in the entire world and representatives say NYE will be another spectacular show.

"We start in the UAE (United Arab Emirates) with our New Year's Eve celebration, and we go across the world. Coming to the United States, Las Vegas and end up in Hawaii," Cooper said.

The Stratosphere Tower will once again start the countdown.
