A former Playboy and Maxim model accused of killing a California doctor in Las Vegas won't go on trial until next year.

Kelsey Turner's trial is now scheduled to begin on July 12.

Police say 71-year-old Thomas Burchard was killed at a home here in the valley. His body was eventually found in the trunk of an abandoned vehicle near Lake Mead last year.

Court-TV is covering the high profile case. They spoke with 13 Action News reporter Austin Carter, who has been covering the story.

Turner's boyfriend will also be standing trial.

A third person accused in Burchard's killing pleaded guilty to being an accessory to murder and is expected to testify against turner and her boyfriend.
