UPDATE 9 P.M.: Interstate 15 has reopened in both directions at Tropicana Avenue after shutting down for several hours due to police activity in the area. Authorities say one man was brought into custody.

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) -- Interstate 15 is closed in both directions at Tropicana Avenue as officers respond to an incident regarding a man on the bridge threatening to jump, according to Las Vegas police.
Tropicana over the I-15 is also closed in both directions moving east and west.
Officers and medical personnel are on the scene. Police first responded around 5:30 p.m.
The incident is ongoing, avoid the area.
