Inmate walks away from Jean Conservation Camp

Officials said a female inmate walked away from the Jean Conservation Camp Tuesday evening.

The Nevada Department of Corrections reported Wednesday that around 9:30 p.m. during count that it was discovered that an inmate had walked away from the a minimum custody facility.

The 44-year-old inmate, Mary Mitchell, arrived at Jean Conservation Camp Nov. 24 from the Florence McClure Women’s Correctional Center. Mitchell was serving a 20-50 month sentence for grand larceny, theft and burglary.

Mitchell is 5 feet 4 inches tall with brown eyes, dark brown hair, a slender build and multiple tattoos including tattooed makeup liners on her eyes and lips.
