An inmate died at a conservation camp in Carson City Monday.
The Nevada Department of Corrections reported Wednesday that Robert Vanwagenen died at Stewart Conservation Camp.
Vanwagenen was a 55-year-old from Washoe County serving consecutive sentences of 35 to 156 months for robbery and 35 to 120 months for use of a deadly weapon enhancement. Vanwagenen had been incarcerated with the Nevada Department of Corrections since May 9, 2001.
An autopsy will be conducted to determine cause of death. Next of kin has been notified.
