Incumbent Democrat Dina Titus wins Nevada U.S. House District 1

Democrat Dina Titus is the projected winner in the race for U.S. House District 1 with 65% of the vote. Her opponent Republican Joyce Bentley received 32% of the vote.

Titus serves on the House Economic Development, Public Buildings, and Emergency Management Subcommittee as a Ranking Member. 

Titus has spoken out against plans to dump nuclear waste at Yucca Mountain.

Titus co-sponsored and passed a bill that requires the Senate to vote on the nomination of the position of Special Envoy to monitor and combat anti-semitism.

Prior to her election to the House, Titus served in the Nevada State Senate representing District Seven from 1993 to 2008. She was also a professor at UNLV.
