LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Immigration advocates are demanding answers from Sheriff Joe Lombardo about his deportation agreement with ICE.
Under an ICE program called 287(g), local officers function as immigration agents, deporting any inmates in Las Vegas suspected of being undocumented.
On Feb. 7, immigration advocates and County Commissioner Tick Segerblom will hold a press conference at Las Vegas Metro Police Department headquarters at 1 p.m. to discuss how the policy hurts families.
