LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — 25 local veterans were welcomed home on Sunday afternoon after an emotional weekend in Washington, D.C.
Dozens of people greeted the veterans as they returned to McCarran International Airport after visiting war memorials on a trip provided by Honor Flight Southern Nevada.
Before they arrived at the airport though, veterans were recognized for their service on their flight. They also read letters from friends, family and appreciative strangers.
