Hitchhiker stabs driver, both end up in hospital

A man was stabbed on Thursday after attempting to give a stranger a ride.
 
It was reported around 4:30 p.m. near U.S. 95 and Russell Road.
 
According to male victim and his girlfriend, they picked up a hitchhiker in Searchlight, NV.
 
During the ride, the suspect pulled out a knife and put it to male victim's throat.
 
A struggle ensued and the male victim received a stab wound to his arm. The suspect then exited the vehicle.
 
The victim was transported to Sunrise Hospital. The suspect was located by Henderson police with stab wounds to his side. The suspect was transported to Sunrise Hospital in critical condition.
