A man suffered serious injuries while hiking on Gold Strike Trail Sunday afternoon.
The hiker is about 4 miles from the trail entrance near Hoover Dam. The call came in around 4:20 p.m.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Search and Rescue team was able to find the man. The ground crews were unable to get to the injured man so a helicopter was sent out to help with the rescue effort.
There are no details about the man's injuries.
