The City of Henderson Police Department will once again be Joining Forces for an enhanced traffic enforcement initiative targeting speeders from June 26 through July 12.

As a part of the Joining Forces program, law enforcement agencies will work together to enforce speed limit laws. During this time, Henderson Police will use officers dedicated to the initiative to complete saturation patrols throughout the Henderson area to stop speeding vehicles. These officers will target areas that are known for high speeds and areas that have received the most citizen complaints.

Joining Forces is a multi-jurisdictional law enforcement program aimed at reducing injuries and crashes through statewide enforcement of traffic safety laws. The goal is to save lives by increasing public awareness about the dangers of making poor choices while driving.

The Henderson Police Department received $201,000 in federal funding for the enhanced enforcement initiatives through the Nevada Department of Public Safety–Office of Traffic Safety for the 2020Joining Forces program. The grant provides funding for enforcement and education to reduce deaths and injuries on Nevada roadways.
