Police are investigating a Friday morning bank robbery.

Investigators say around 10 a.m., they received reports of a robbery at CitiBank located at 10021 South Eastern Avenue, near Eastern Avenue and St. Rose Parkway.

Police say the suspect came into the bank wearing a mask and carrying a gun. The suspect yelled at everyone in the bank to "get down."

"It is scary. I was just hoping nothing bad would happen," witness Robert Egan said. "I was thinking that he was probably just going to rob the bank, take some money and get out of there. I couldn't imagine him wanting to hurt anybody."

There was one shot fired into the floor. No injuries were reported. The suspect fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a black male, 6' to 6'3" and 210 to 230 pounds and wearing all black clothing, black mask and black gloves. The suspect also had a black backpack and black handgun.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 702-368-2255.
