A Henderson middle school student reported being approached by a man in a van Tuesday.
According to a letter from the Mannion Middle School principal, one of its students was allegedly approached by an older model light blue van with a work ladder mounted on top of it while walking from Mannion Middle School to Walker Elementary School. This took place at the corner of Scholar Street and San Gabriel Avenue, just east of College Drive.
The student indicated that the man in the van did have a weapon.
Law enforcement is aware of the incident and is currently investigating.
