A laughing gas leak locked down St. Rose Dominican Hospital, Siena Campus, in Henderson Thursday afternoon.

The Henderson Fire Department reported around 3:50 p.m. that a truck was delivering canisters to the hospital, located near Eastern Avenue and St. Rose Parkway, when the driver opened the back of the truck and noticed a gas leak.

Firefighters were dispatched to determine what the gas was. They determined it was nitrous oxide, also known as laughing gas.

No injuries have been reported.

The hospital was put on lockdown as a precautionary measure.

Dignity Health-St. Rose Dominican released a statement on the incident.

"At Dignity Health-St. Rose Dominican, the health, safety and security of everyone at our hospitals in our greatest priority. This afternoon, a truck on route to our Siena campus was alleged to have a leak. Following strict safety protocols, the hospital worked with the Henderson Fire Department to redirect patients and staff from the area until it was determined safe. At no time were patients or employees in danger, and the Siena campus has since resumed normal operations."
