Henderson crews responded to a brush fire at Whitney Mesa Nature Preserve Monday night.
The fire was reported at the preserve off Sunset Road, near Arroyo Grande Boulevard, around 9:35 p.m. and put out by 10 p.m.
Sunset Road was closed in both directions for an hour as firefighters fought the blaze.
Firefighters are investigating the cause of the fire. It is unknown whether it was started by fireworks.
