NORTH LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A program that helps families and kids celebrated the grand opening of its North Las Vegas location on Thursday.
Officials and community partners came together for the opening of the new Harbor Juvenile Assessment Center located in North Las Vegas at 3001 N. Martin Luther King Blvd., south of Cheyenne Avenue.
The building was donated by the city of North Las Vegas to serve as a third Harbor location within the Las Vegas area.
The Harbor opened in October 2016 as a pilot program designed to prevent youth from entering the juvenile justice system. It helps families cope with problem behavior before issues can potentially escalate into more serious trouble.
More information is available on the Harbor’s website here.
