Las Vegas Police Department makes it official at Sunrise Ceremony: 1 October death count is 60

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — As the 1 October Sunrise Ceremony came to a close at the Clark County Government Center moments ago, Las Vegas Sheriff Joe Lombardo ended the ceremony acknowledging controversy over the official death count.

Two additional lives were lost due to injuries sustained from the shooting in 2017 at Route 91 Harvest Festival after the shooting, yet officials kept the official death count at 58 until now.

The department says the new official death count is 60.

Mayor Carolyn Goodman will be reading the names of the victims at a ceremony tonight at the Las Vegas Community Healing Garden.
