LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Tech giant Google has just awarded the Nevada Institute of Autonomous Systems, or NIAS, with a $175,000 grant to teach nearly 50 Nevada students everything there is to know about drones and unmanned aerial systems -- and even more money could be coming.

NIAS says google made the announcement earlier this month and could award another $125,000 which would help another 30 students across Nevada.

Google is asking for people to vote for their favorite organization to receive the grant.

You can vote for NIAS to receive the grant by clicking here.

The FAA predicts the United States will need 400,000 pilots by 2021.

Voting for the grant ends on Nov. 26.
